Dr. Gary Hoberman
Where I've been
Dr. Gary Hoberman founded and grew Podiatry Plus into a three-state, 20 doctor practice. He did this all the while "paying rent to God” by serving in various leadership roles in Chicago's Jewish community. Throughout that period, he was on the receiving end of executive and leadership coaching.
It was primarily in his role as President of the YU Torah Mitzion Kollel of Chicago that Dr. Hoberman became awed with the young rabbinate — a reciprocal feeling apparently. At this point, he became a mentor to many of them. While he’s transitioning out of medicine, Dr. Hoberman merged two of his life passions — personal growth and community service — and created the not-for-profit, RabbiAlly.
Leadership advice that comes from a leader.
Dr. Hoberman continues to serve the Jewish community. He is a member of the Board of Trustees of both Arie Crown Hebrew Day School and The YU Torah Mitzion Kollel of Chicago. He is also a member of the Hebrew Theological College Board of Regents, serves on the NCSY Midwest Region Youth Commission, and is a member of Congregation Or Torah’s Board of Directors. Dr. Hoberman has completed the coaching curriculum of the Co-Active Training Institute. He continues to be the beneficiary of a coaching relationship and participates in a business and personal growth, peer advisory group. Dr. Hoberman continues to see patients on a part-time basis and is board certified by the American Board of Foot and Ankle Surgeons.
